Being validated is so key to recovery! My friends have been about half and half. Some relate enough to where I can talk to them about it, and others I've learned not to bring it up unless they ask something that pertains to my healing.

I'm also glad you have your team working for you! Mine has definitely helped me out immeasurably. Especially my therapist.

I 100% agree with you that I wish the sessions were longer than one hour. Every time we actually start digging into things and I feel like we're making progress, its time to stop again. And then the next time we have to start all over and work our way back up. I don't understand why they're only one hour.

We haven't done the EMDR sessions yet, but I have a feeling its coming because he mentioned completely talking through one of the reasons I have PTSD, so we will certainly see how that goes. It was so daunting learning that I was going to have to basically restructure the way that I thought about myself. Seemed like such a mountain to climb.

We are taking the right steps!
